Gift Team

Welcome! We are members of the GIFT Team at Our Lady and Saint Anselm's. We have a very important job to spread the Word of God throughout our school and the school community.

It is our mission to interpret scripture so that children can better understand stories from the Bible and relate them to their own lives.

You may see us around school leading prayer and liturgy, partaking in meditation and discussing current issues involving people around the world.

We feel very privileged to lead as Jesus' young Disciples and share the Word of God through fun and engaging activities in the hope to inspire our fellow peers.

Hello! I have been in the GIFT Team for three years now and I am proud to be part of a great chaplaincy team.

My favourite thing about being a part of this special group is attending the training at All Saint’s RC High School and using the ideas to create fun workshops for the children at OLSA.

Hi! I joined the GIFT Team this year because I wanted to make a difference at my school. I love to worship God and spread His message of hope and love to the children and community of OLSA. I really enjoy RE and learning about the Word of God.

Hi, this is my first year of GIFT Team. I am fairly new to OLSA and was made to feel very welcome when I joined the chaplaincy team in September.  My favourite part of being in this team is planning the activities for the children at my school. I like to be involved in liturgies and have particularly enjoyed organising the Advent workshops.

Hello! This is my first year in the GIFT Team and I mostly enjoy that we get to partake in activities together and encourage children to learn more about Jesus and His Good News.

Hi there! I a have been a part of the GIFT Team since September and I am enjoying my role within the chaplaincy team. The workshops are fun and I like to share stories from the Bible to the children in KS1 and EYFS.  I have really enjoyed the Launch of the Jubilee, 2025 and cannot wait to plan more exciting activities for the children of OLSA.

Hello, I’ve been in the GIFT Team for nearly two years now and my favourite part is planning and leading liturgies for whole school and class assemblies.

I like to visit the children in Reception, especially the children from my Prayer Friends circle.

We enjoy reading parables and discussing the message of Jesus Christ.

Hi! I have been in the GIFT Team since September, 2024. My favourite thing about being a GIFT Team member is reading scripture and discussing the message it has for us all. When we meet weekly as a team, I enjoy sacred prayer and planning liturgies for other classes. I consider myself to be a disciple of Jesus and want to spread the Good News to everyone in my local community!

Hi! My favourite part of being in the GIFT Team is sharing the Good News from the Gospels. I have been a member of the chaplaincy team for two years and it is my goal to make more people, especially the children at OLSA, become really excited about Jesus! I love my role and have enjoyed launching the Pilgrims of Hope Jubilee Journey this year. I plan to organise many engaging activities throughout the year which will involve the whole school community!

Hi! I’ve been a member of the GIFT Team for two years. It is an honour to be part of such a fun and energetic group! I love being able to share scripture with the little children and enjoy planning and leading whole school liturgies, linked to themes across the year. A favourite moment of mine was organising the Remembrance packets for all of our school families in November. This was a great opportunity for children and their families to share, reflect and pray for those who have died.

Prayer Stations in Holy Week - 2024

During Holy Week, we led the school in a prayer journey.  The children visited three stations based on Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.  The theme was peace and throughout the journey the children were encouraged to pray and reflect.
