Take a look back to EYFS to review how we have looked at what is past and present. We have looked at how our town has changed through the years, explored the changes in the world since our parents and grandparents were born, now we will delve into the familiar topic of toys to explore the changes and advancements of technology within the area of play.

Here we will explore how our toys today differed from the toys of the past. We will begin to know some similarities and differences between things in the past and now, drawing on their experiences and what has been read in class and what artefacts have been shown. Children will experience a variety of primary and secondary sources, examining what makes a source and what we can tell from an image of an artefact. Children will begin to develop asking questions and making inferences on how historians work.
