We want all of our children, including our children who are eligible for pupil premium funding, to be happy, feel safe, be successful, have good attendance and have good learning outcomes. We want all of our children to attain in line with national expectations at the end of KS2 and make good progress academically, emotionally and socially throughout their time at Our Lady and St Anselm’s. It is clear that the pandemic has affected children’s learning, this is especially true for reading and writing. Therefore, the school’s recovery and improvement plan places a high emphasis on basic skills in order to close the gap for our disadvantaged pupils, which has widened.
