Collective Worship

Collective Worship - The Man who amazed Jesus: Matthew 8: Luke 7

"Lord, I don't deserve to have you come to my house!

I'm not worthy! But I know you don't need to anyway.

If you just say the word, my servant will be healed, just like when I order my soldiers to do something, they do it!"

Star Class Collective Worship

Star Class organised a beautiful collective worship for the whole school centred around the theme of Lent. Parents and carers joined in as we celebrated the Word.

Our scripture today was Joel 2:12-16:

“NOW, NOW

– IT IS THE LORD WHO SPEAKS –

come back to me

with all your heart,

fasting,

weeping,

mourning.”

"LET YOUR HEARTS BE BROKEN,

not your garments torn,

turn to the Lord your God again,

for he is all tenderness

and compassion,

slow to anger,

rich in graciousness,

and ready to relent."

TOPIC AFTERNOON - Pilgrims of Hope 2025. Parents and carers joined Star Class in the afternoon to partake in Collective Worship. Prior to our liturgy, our families joined in with some engaging activities themed around the Jubilee Year of Hope. Everyone had a wonderful time making pledges for the year, sharing how they will care for our world and discussing the importance of this special event.

“What do you think a man does who has one hundred sheep and one of them gets lost? He will leave the other ninety-nine grazing on the hillside and go and look for the lost sheep.” Matthew 18:12

During our Collective Worship in class, we listened to Genesis 1. During our reflection time, we thought about the wonders of God's creation and said a personal prayer to Him: thanking Him for all of His Wonders.

After reflecting in our collective worship, our children created candles. We made linked to our learning of Baptism in RE.
